BECOME A COACH AND ADD TO THE EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME FOR OUR KIDS!
Ever think about coaching but were too afraid to ask or do because you didn’t think you knew enough about the game? Stop thinking that way because we have you covered! All you have to do is want to coach, be willing to learn, and want to be part of our special coaching staff. This is a great way to spend quality time with your kid(s), give back to others and become a more active member of our community.
- We will start you as an assistant coach so that you can get acclimated to the program and the game.
- We will pair you up with a seasoned coach so that you can learn while making a difference in our kids’ lives.
- We provide instruction in our Coach the Coach content and provide guidance on all team communications.
Requirements (we pay for it all):
✓ Complete the Rutgers’ Safety Course (only have to do once and good for any sport)
✓ Annual Concussion Course
✓ Annual Behavior Course
✓ Bi-Annual Background Check
✓ CPR Training
Effective immediately, coaches will now have to complete a background check and be cleared before stepping on any of our fields to coach our children. This is a decision that was brought on by the county, adopted by the Board of Recreation, and is embraced by the Hawthorne Soccer Association. It is our collective feeling that the safety of our children is of the utmost importance.
